We’d like to remind our guests of some simple commonsense rules that apply during your stay here. These rules are in place to ensure that guests who stay at the property behave in a way that is harmonious with other guests, our neighbours, the local culture and the natural environment. Please also take a look at the booking and cancellation policy.

  • GUESTS: We prefer families to come and stay in this accommodation. Groups of only male guests are not allowed to stay at the property.
  • IDENTITY: All guests are required to carry proof of identity.
  • FOOD: We prefer guests who will cook and eat only vegetarian food in the house. If you are fond of eating non-vegetarian food, there are few restaurants with in the walking distance, which serve good food.
  • ALCOHOL: We’d like guests to be mindful of the peaceful environment and be moderate in consumption of alcohol, if at all.
  • DRUGS: Acquisition or consumption of drugs is strictly not allowed anywhere on the property.
  • SMOKING: Smoking is strictly forbidden in both cottages and in the immediate vicinity, as the proporties use a lot of wood in their construction, and the smell from cigarettes is troublesome for both us and our other guests.
  • NOISE: Our guests are reminded to be mindful of the peaceful surroundings and keep noise down to a minimum. This means no loud music, loud parties with many guests, etc.
  • PAYMENT: We require payment for all bookings to be made at the time of booking, directly into our bank account. Bookings are only confirmed on receipt of full payment.
  • SECURITY DEPOSIT: Guests are required to put down a small cash deposit of Rs. 5000 for each cottage for the duration of their stay to cover any damages. The deposit will be returned to you at the time of checkout after your stay. We feel this is the most convenient way for our guests.
  • CANCELLATION CHARGES:

    This is the formal cancellation policy.

    * 31 days or more from beginning of stay: 100% refund

    * 15 to 30 days from beginning of stay: 50% refund

    * 7 to 15 days from beginning of stay: 25% refund

    * 7 days or less from beginning of stay: no refund

    The cancellation charges are only in place to cover us in case you have to cancel and we cannot get alternate bookings. If we are able to get an alternate guest booking for the full duration of your cancelled stay, we will happily refund you.  If we get an alternate booking for part of your cancelled stay, we will refund you a pro-rated amount. You need not ask us for this; we will do it pro-actively, as we run an ethical business. We like to treat our guests the way we’d like to be treated.  We want our guests to keep coming back and to recommend us to their friends.
